Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look, at this Front Runner top mount propane tank holder. This mounting system is going to secure your propane tank to the top of your Front Runner platform rack. It is gonna be a very simple installation to the top channels of your platform rack, all the hardware needed to get it installed is included. This does have a steel collar, and the tension bars that will hold the tank in place. These tension bars are adjustable, so you can accommodate different size tanks.
Your maximum tank capacity is gonna be up to 22 pounds, up to 12 and five eights of an inch tall, diameter of 11 inches, and a collar diameter of six and 11 sixteenths of an inch. They also include these T-slot rubber strips that will install onto the platform rack to provide cushion and traction for your propane tank so you don't have to worry about it shifting around, bottom coming loose, or anything like that, so it is gonna give you a nice, sturdy, solid connection. So if you are gonna be going off road, and over all sorts of different terrain, this will stay put for you. Then we do have the lockable stainless steel safety latches here that are going to help deter theft, so, to get those put in place, obviously you'll have more tension on there, with your propane tank, but those do have a hole in them that will allow you to pass through a lock, such as the Front Runner lock that you see on the screen there, that is sold separately, but we do have it available here at etrailer.com, using that part number. So if you are wanting to add a little extra security, you can pass that lock through.
Make sure that no one's able to come along, and take off with your propane tank. This does have a nice black powder-coated steel construction, so it is gonna be very sturdy, and resist rust and corrosion, will hold up well for you, for a long time to come. And it does only, it weighs about six, a little over 6.5 pounds, so it won't add too much weight to your roof rack, and so you still have plenty of weight capacity for your other gear. I bought this for my 2020 subaru forester with a prinsu roof rack. I used cairage bolts with washers to secure the peoduct as the included hardware is meant for front runner. Its an excellent producr and fits my 5lb flame king propane tank. Hard to find a 10lb tank within specs so settled for the 5lb.
